At Aurora, our academic calendar follows the quarter system, where each term spans 10 weeks. The first three terms have contact classes, providing students with structured learning experiences and opportunities for in-depth engagement with course material. However, the fourth term is exclusively dedicated to projects and internships, allowing students to apply their knowledge in real-world settings and gain practical experience. One of the significant advantages of this term system is its flexibility and student-centered approach. With the quarter system in place, students have the opportunity to address any backlog subjects during the fourth term. This ensures that they can overcome academic challenges without the risk of losing an entire year, unlike the conventional semester system, where failing to secure requisite credits results in the loss of an academic session.
