Bootcamp on Algorand Blockchain Technology

The Centre for Future Skills (CFS) at Aurora University, in collaboration with the Algorand Blockchain Club, successfully conducted a 2-day Bootcamp on Algorand Blockchain Technology on March 19th & 20th, 2025 from 9:30AM to 5:00PM at the CFS Workspace, Aurora University Campus.

The event was honored by esteemed guests, including Prof. K. Chandrasekhar (Registrar, AU), Dr. SVHN Krishna Kumar (Director - Academics & Planning, AU), Dr. Sanjay Kumar (Dean, SoCM), Dr. K. Chandrashekar (HoD - CSE, CSE-DS, CSE-AIML, AU), and Mr. K. Ravikanth (Coordinator, CFS). Representatives from AlgoBharat, including Mr. Akash Mallareddy (Regional Ambassador, AlgoBharat), Mr. Mohammad Mudassir, and Mr. Maroti Patre, also graced the occasion. The event witnessed participation from 60 students across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu, making it a grand success.

Day 1 Highlights:
The bootcamp commenced with a ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by an opening speech from Mr. K. Ravikanth, emphasizing the achievements of the Algorand Blockchain Club at AU. Mr. Akash Mallareddy introduced the Algorand Foundation’s initiatives and student opportunities. Inspirational speeches from university dignitaries highlighted blockchain's role in shaping the future. The first-day sessions focused on Introduction to Blockchain & Algorand Technology, followed by a hands-on training session on Pera Wallet and Algo Transactions, enabling students to create tokens and deploy smart contracts.

Day 2 Highlights:
The second day started with a recap session by Mr. Mohammad Mudassir, followed by an interactive session on Asset Creation & Transfer using Lora Explorer and Trading on the Algorand Digital Marketplace. Students engaged in hands-on training, gaining practical insights into blockchain applications.

The event concluded with a felicitation ceremony, where speakers were honored with mementos. A group photo session marked the success of the bootcamp. The initiative showcased Aurora University’s dedication to bridging the gap between academia and industry, fostering innovation and technological excellence.
